Today I'm stepping away.
Today I'm choosing a different way.
We both knew it was gonna go this route,
whether it was you or me one of us was gonna get out.
I can never be the woman you imagined,
the woman I am though you could of had it.
You just never took the time to discover,
what other things I was good at besides being your lover.
You hold too much anger inside of yourself,
that had nothing to do with myself.
I fell in love with a fantasy of you,
that blinded all f your hatred and distorted my view.
I wish you could've let go before you held my heart,
because now its hard for me to pull myself apart.
I already know you'll say you are different now,
but i'd rather you be sure that you even know how.
It's true I do love you and I'm tryin my best,
to make real good decisions for my life and make sure they're the best.
I just dont see things working rite now with a shodow of the past...
that you let linger around-thats not good-and it wont last.
So maybe you should be understanding..I know thats hard for you,
but you cannot drag me along in your life thats something I cant do.
So dont loose track of what you need to do,
I want to be your bestfriend all the way through.
You are probably wondering what brought me to this point,
well I've been here at the crossroads for a while now wondering,
"whats the point?"
So now I've had alot of time to think and its the best for me too,
to let you discover yourself and hopefully find me too.
